These types of processing are widely used in the 2D mechanics. Sprutcam creates toolpaths both roughing and finishing and includes automatic recognition of machining from geometry.

Sprutcam 2.5 D includes a set of strategies for creating slots, pockets, holes, flat faces, vertical walls and chamfers. Sprutcam 2.5 D also includes the generation of tool path of open or closed curves that go to create engravings of texts and artistic elements on flat areas.

 

Below is a list of standard steps, refer to this type of processing:

  • Passed in parallel

  • Processing vertical walls (including the use of spiral cutter path)

  • Drill machining (spot drilling, drilling, drilling through, tapping, reaming)

Special consideration should be given to the ability of the system to create 3D graphing of SprutCAM finished part from closed curves. Having 2D drafting, building a set of extrusions pockets and holes and after defining the type and parameters of the individual items you get 3D graphics display of the part, which greatly simplifies the process of creating the toolpath.
When the profile parameters are modified and corrected, the system automatically reconfigures the 3D graphical representation of the part.
