To create the placement operation it is necessary to define the direction of the axes of rotation or the local coordinate system. You can change the position of the workpiece and the tool between the various operations. This is extremely easy and is done interactively on the template, all you need to do is to select with the cursor (by mouse) the work surface, so the tool is positioned perpendicular to the latter. Sprutcam automatically calculates the angles of rotation for movement of the machine and raise the work programme.
Most modern machine tools with numerical control requires the mandatory use of local coordinate systems (origins) for working with multiple spindles under placement. For this purpose you can use SprutCAM «LocalCS –» which automatically rotates the coordinate system so that the z-axis always points toward the tool axis.
